Hi. I would like to know how can I upload DVD-R/DVD images to the 3-D album. I have a Sony DVD camcorder and I would like to upload DVD videos to my 3-D album. I don't know what format the DVD's are made in? Maybe DVD-R? I tried uploading images but it didn't work.
Thank you.

I'm not familiar with the Sony DVD camcorder, so someone else may be able to give you a more correct answer.
I'm going to guess that it writes direct to DVD, and that the format DVD-R won't affect you. As long as the Sony can write to it, and your PC can read the DVD you should be OK.
Probably the Sony writes mpeg-2 files, which are video. This means that you would upload the file to your PC, and then use them in any style that supports videos (any of the 3D-Album MOVIE SHOW styles, and most of the 3DTime bought sytles. You wouldn't be adding them as images, but as videos or movies in movie input fields/boxes.
It's possible that the Sony writes in DVD ready format. In this case, you may not find any mpeg files. You would find a VIDEO_TS folder on the DVD, and I believe that you would need to convert using some software such as Ulead's VideoStudio.
If anyone has this camera and can provide a better answer, I'm sure that Olga would appreciate it. _________________ Bill

| Thanks Bill for getting back to me. I think I have that Video_TS folder problem. I'll look into getting that Ulead VideoStudio program. |

I did a test on this, using a DVD that I had created for a wedding.
I renamed to tryit.mpg and then I added it to one of the MOVIE SHOW styles. It worked. I wasn't overly impressed with the quality though - but you might try it and see if it works for you or not.
If you don't like the results, then you can always try the ULEAD software. _________________ Bill
