Those are the links that you want.

You should be able to load the smaller version. I usually recommend to people that they start with the larger download and then for subsequent updates use the smaller version.

I guess I have to eat my words Frank. Luckily, the styles that I tried initially worked. I'm now running into some that don't work at all especially if I add video. Every Vista computer that I've seen flashes lights and runs non-stop - I can't believe that wouldn't have something to do with it. I've been trying to remove programs from the start-up but nothing seems to help that.

KatN,

What does "flashes lights" mean? Could you be more specific? I tried 3D-Album on my laptop with Vista Premium. I tried some dispatch styles with WMV video inputs and did not find any problem to play with it. But there is problem to convert it into video when using the capture. Then, I tried 3D-Album Creative Center for the video conversion and there is no problem. 3D-Album need to publish an update with their new video capture component for Vista.

Hi Nan -

The light I'm referring to is the hard disk activity LED. I did a chat session with HP support (I'm their worst nightmare). They tell me it's typical of the Vista operating system and does not use a lot of memory (he ignored my query about my electric bill). I went on to ask about the crashing with 3D Album - He recommended adding a PCI express graphics card saying that 'express' will work "10 times better than the factory installed graphics card". With my brand new root canal, I've had little time or money to think about this option.

Your thoughts?

The video is typically played in streamline (load from disk on the fly) and that is why your hard disk LED will show busy flashing if you have selected a video to play in 3D-Album style.

Also, Vista tries to predict what you are going to do the next and preload lots of things for you from the disk even the application do not have access to disk.

Vista does use more (much more) memory than XP. Some 3DTime montage styles load all photos the same time. This may require a lot of memory and may cause swap between memory and disk, I guess.
