Hi. I've had the 3d platinum pro for a while now and I have all the settings right. But the end product is just awful..
The Vexe file is crisp.clear versus the mpeg file (to be able to burn to DVD) is jerky,pixalated.. you know what I mean.. It seems to be everyones gripe in the forum... My system is:
Intel Core 2 quad CPU
Q660 @ 240 GHz 239 Ghz, 3 GB of Ram.
Video card: Nividia GeForce 8600 GT ( with updated drivers).
Please help.. I had one of the reps try to figure out the solution , but never heard back.
Thank you in advance. |

Hi.
I used the MPEG option and also the MPEG 2..
The frame size:
DV NTSC .. 720 x 480
Movie quality : 100
Frame Rate 30
Anything else info needed to narrow it down?
Thanks. |

Are you saying that looking at the mpg file on your computer monitor is where it looks bad?
If so, you might try moving (or copying) the mpg file to a video editor or just going ahead and burning it to disk and then see how it looks on your TV.
It has been my experience that the file is OK and will look like it should if I put it in my video editor. If the file does not need any further editing I can usually just go ahead and put it on disk and it looks fine when played on my dvd player. |

Hi.
Yes, when I view it on my computer monitor.
But, as I mentioned already, I also see the same production with the VEXE extension and it looks crisp. So it isn't the monitor since the VEXE file looks crisp, clear, no pixalation, no blurriness, no jerky movements..
Then I look at the production once it's in the MPEG format using WMP or WINDVD or ULEAD DVD Movie Factory plus 6 and it is pixelated, blurry, jerky movements.. Not at all as how it looks when it has the VEXE extension.
I've also burned the production to DVD and it has the same results viewing it on T.V. Really blurry, pixelated, jerky movements.. It just looks like a U-Tube video
I used a couple of video editors.. VIDEO REDO TV SUITE and also ULEAD DVD MOVIE FACTORY 6.. I added it to PHOTODEX PROSHOW
PRODUCER and still no improvement..
NOW, what would be the next step to get my MPEG production to look like the VEXE file extension one?
Thanks.[/b][/b] |

I don't know that this will have a bearing on the situation but in my case I use the DV AVI setting with a frame rate of 29.97 and 70% quality.
I use high performance encoder for DVD file
Resize the capture source to the movie size before capturing the image
Use hardware acceleration
Mpeg Decode option:Use the VAC builtin MPEG decoder for video input
Mpeg2 Decode option: Use the currently installed MPEG decoder for video input
MP3 Decode option: Use the currently installed MP3 decoder for audio input
I don't make my Mpeg file until I finish editing and am ready to make my DVD. |

I am using an HP Media center with 8GB of RAM, 512mb Video ram, Quad AMD Phenom 9750 Quad Processors 2.4GHz on Windows 7 Pro X64 and
the quality after burning a DVD litterally SUCKS. I have to give my clients a low quality DVD that makes me cringe everytime I deliver my projects. maybe some of you are happy with this but you know what kind of televisions people are using now? LED and the quality is unbelievable when they view my photos from my Canon EOS Mark3 1Ds. Nearly everyone has HD quality television resolution now but the resolution put out by the capture utility is VCR quality. I don't even consider it DVD quality. What the hec is going on? This needs to be resolved. I shoot in high resolution 25mp photos.
they look like crap after I capture them and burn them to DVD and believe me, I have tried everything including shutting down services in the OS not needed and getting off the INET and shutting OFF McAfee virus scanner so all resources are dedicated to the 3d Album program.
Anyone doing any testing on this?
This is probably why they chose not to burn to DVD but tell us that we have to have our own program to transfer the mpeg file or AVI file to DVD. They know this is an issue and they know it works and looks fine on the computer and monitor.
yes, ask me, I am upset because I paid decent money for CS version and I am just getting tired of this poor quality results when I have high quality equipment.
