Here we go again with using the forums to advertise.

There are lots of offers made every day for web hosting. We are constantly bombarded with ads in all types of media. So.....what we don't need is seeing more on the forums.

I run a small business with a small advertising budget. I would love to get free advertising. However, I do not consider it good form to make improper use of these forums. I come to the forums to interact with fellow users of 3D Album, to learn and when I can, to help others.

I just recently signed up with a web hosting company that gave me the first 3 years free and offered a cash reward for getting others to sign up. But, that is not my line of work (shilling for other companies). So, if you are going to advertise, come right out and tell folks what you are promoting and why. Give us the details of why we should choose to use the hosting company you recommend and what you expect to gain if we do.

I'm in favor of boycotting these advertisers simply because they are mis-using our forum.

You're probably right, the best thing is to ignore them like all the other spam.

I guess I shouldn't have responded to that post because he obviously ignored our response to his previous post. Sometimes it is hard to not express yourself when you see something that is not right. I'll try to do better from now on.
