(I'm baaackk!) OK. I set my image dimensions to 577x770 @96 ppi on all images (some oriented portrait, some landscape). I know square is probably best but that just won't work with these images. The presentation looks fine on the computer using the viewer. I then ran the visviva 'capture' set to DVD producing an mpeg file. After the rendering, I ran the DVD on my computer. The images during this playback are just a bit 'squashed' but none the less unusable (who wants to look even a little fatter than they are!). Is it strictly because of my image dimensions? If so, why do they show fine using the viewer before 'capturing' with visviva? Also, at least one style (Dispatch #6) shows them fine after DVD rendering.
Please, I need QUICK resolution as time is running out on me!
Also, on an unrelate question: is there a 'guide' that tells you how long each style transitions? On several, the 'speed' is meaningless because they don't show in seconds. On others, the speed says how long between image display, but I have found that even after DVD capture, you have to add the transition time on some (at leas Dispatch #6 runs that way.)

I've not tried the DVD on a TV set yet. Is it possible that the mpeg will look fine viwing from TV ? I'm thinking now (after visiting the dvd demystified site) that perhaps it will show properly using the 4:3 aspect of the TV (monitor is not 4:3 aspect ratio). I sure hope so.
If anyone else has experienced this, please let me know ASAP.

Your DVD movie may look "fatter" on computer than actual 4:3 TV, depending on the resolution of your screen display and the MEPG2 player that you used.
If you use the new version (3.xx), you can enable the Timer Synchronization button (in the toolbar, it is blue when enabled). This way, you will see the actual timeimg in video capture, though the animation may not be smooth if your computer 3D graphic is not fast enough. But don't worry, your captured video will run the animation smoothly.
For most styles with intervals in the new version, you do not have to add the transition time. The transition time is added into the interval. But please note, your interval must be long enough to allow the transition to complete.

Thanks. I will burn a short DVD to check on TV; I didn't want to go to the trouble without some semi-positive feedback. I did show a sample on a TV the other day and no one noticed (nor did I), so hopefully that is the case this time. Unfortunately my TV DVD player won't play my +R burns.
I guess I missed the timer synchronization button. I'm using the home DVD version, NOT CS. I do not get 'real time' viewing on my computer as my computer won't support the newest graphics cards. So the process of synchronizing between the music and the images is a VERY tedious thing for me. With the 'interval' feature at least I can get close and then redo to hit it 'right'. I've been setting most intervals for 4 seconds or 5 seconds. Some styles i can't use because there is no way to shorten the transition times and I want the 'static' viewing itself to last about 4 seconds.
Thanks for the feedback.

I have the DVD version of 3-D Album. and used the Visviva to make the DVD mpeg files. I find it easier to make different style presentations and then combine them and add the music using a seperate video program (the newest version of Ulead's VideoStudio8). Most DVD burners come with some software for making a final product for burning I think. Since my other posts I now have a DVD player for my TV that accepts +R/RW and - R/RW DVDs. The DVD burner I'm using now will do either + or - media and though it is a cheapo $70 after rebates, it seems to work fine. Don't know if this answers your question or not.
