Just picked up a copy of 3D-Album at Comdex 2003 and installed and first issue is the application runs so slow as to be nearly unbearable, hence unusable.
I am running Windows XP Home on a Sony Vaio system: 1.8ghz, 1Gig RAM, 40GB HDD, 15" Wide Screen, etc. etc.
Any ideas on increasing performance? |

The key is the 3D video card used in your computer. Either your computer does not have one or the driver for the video card is not engaged.
If I am right, Sony Vaio should use GeForce. This should be good enough to run 3D-Album. Then the problem must be the driver or your system settings. The computer factory probally installed a driver that is not compatible to XP. This is a quite common problem when the XP is justed released. Try to download the latest driver for your video card. If you have GeForce, goto www.nVidia.com. If you have ATI, goto www.ati.com.
Also, check your Display settings. Click the Advanced button, and then the Troubleshooting tab. Move the Harware acceleration slide to Full. |
