I got a new Vista computer with nVidia video card installed a month a ago and have got some problems to run 3D-Album. Most problems are related to nVidia's driver but they can be solved as the method mentioned below:
1. Crash, random spikes or broken images.
Cause: According to 3D-Album support, this problem is caused by an OpenGL bug in nVidia's driver.
Solution: Download 3.29 update at:
http://www.3d-album.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2740
2. Preview screen does not update (remains black) when a new style is clicked.
Cause: I believe this is also caused by nVidia's driver and it happens only in Vista (not in XP).
Solution: Click the green "Power" button below the preview window to turn the screen off before switching to a new style. Bringing the window to the back then to the front will resume the display screen to normal.
3. Dirty background with random boxes of images.
Cause: Yet another problem caused by the recent update of nVidia's driver.
Solution: Check the style and see if there is a background color control. Make sure to select a solid color (color without any transparency).
None of the above problems were found in my computer with ATI's card or the computer with an old nVidia's card (6800) where I never update the driver. |
