Canopus Storm Edit does not support AVI file

Is there a setting on Storm Edit that will allow me to import a Picture Pro generated AVI file to it? My Ulead editor can handle it but not the Canopus product which I prefer to use.

I did choose Canopus DV when creating the file. Should I choose another format?

I am sure you must have had this issue posted in the past. What am I doing wrong?
