Dispatch #5. In this refined new presentation style, your photos, appearing on virtual paper, dreamily float over shifting backgrounds of your choice. The atmosphere of your presentation is enhanced by variegated environmental lighting, which you can set the color of. You can select the type of paper from a mixture of shadowing and illuminating effects. Adding text, music, or voiceover would make this a great style to preserve those photographs most important to you. Added 7/12/02.

The picture at right is the setting panel of this style.
  • Speed: This control lets you adjust the floating speed of the photo.
  • Size: You use this control to set the photo size relative to the display.
  • Color: These three color drop lists let you select the colors for the three environment lights.
  • Border: This controls the width of the border, in percentage of the paper size. The number 0.15, for example, means that the border width is 15 percent of the entire paper.
  • Offset: These two controls let you set the center offset of the photo placed on the photo paper. You need to give an offset when the photo paper is not symmetric, as it is shown in the above picture: the paper has a shadow at the bottom and right sides.
  • Paper: You use this control to select the paper type. A paper type can be any image. You can use a picture of a blank photo sheet or textured fabric. Included in this style are two types: shadowed glossy paper (offset=(-0.017,-0.017)) and glowing translucent plastic (offset=(0,0)). Attached below you will find more paper images. Click the image to download the one you like.
  • Backgrounds: There is no control for backgrounds. They are images stored in the _backgound folder of this style. If you want to replace or add background images, replace or add images in this folder. Background images are displayed in a constant floating and fading style.
  • Text and voiceover : Use 3D-Album photo organizer to add text narration and voiceover to each photo. The voiceover starts to play when the photo moves to the center of the display. Avoid attaching long voiceovers with fast floating speed.
